President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has called on Islamic nations to unite in support of the Palestinian people, urging collective efforts to alleviate their suffering during this challenging time.

The President made the appeal while extending warm greetings and sincere good wishes to the leaders of Islamic nations on the occasion of the Islamic New Year 1447 AH.

On behalf of the Government and people of the Maldives, President Dr Muizzu expressed hope for a peaceful and prosperous year ahead, praying for Allah’s continued blessings and guidance for all Muslim nations.

In his message, he reiterated his call for unity with the people of Palestine, urging the Muslim world to act with compassion and determination to ease the suffering of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza.

He also reaffirmed the Maldives’ unwavering support for the establishment of an independent State of Palestine, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Concluding his message, the President prayed for peace, justice, and relief for oppressed Muslim communities across the world, and expressed hope for a year defined by unity, strength, and resilience.
