President Dr Muizzu honours contributors to Maldives–Singapore ties

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has presented recognition awards to individuals and organisations for their exceptional contributions in strengthening the longstanding partnership between the Maldives and Singapore.

The awards were conferred at the Maldives–Singapore Business Forum 2025 held in Singapore on Tuesday morning. The forum brought together key stakeholders to explore avenues for enhanced bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade, investment, and development.

A total of 17 individuals and 20 companies were honoured for their pivotal roles in promoting people-to-people ties, facilitating economic cooperation, and supporting the Maldives’ national development.

The recipients included prominent Maldivian and Singaporean figures, with several being posthumously recognised. Among the individual honourees were former statesmen, entrepreneurs, and diplomats who played instrumental roles in fostering bilateral relations
