Tuas Port showcases advanced cargo systems to Maldivian delegation

As part of his ongoing state visit to Singapore, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu today toured Tuas Port, a flagship infrastructure project poised to become the world’s largest automated port upon its scheduled completion in the 2040s.

Upon arrival, the President was welcomed by senior officials from PSA International. Ong Seow Leong, Group Head of Business Development, and William Goh, Vice President of the Container Division, received the Maldivian delegation and introduced them to the port's strategic objectives and technological advancements.

The visit commenced with a detailed briefing on the inception and progressive development of Tuas Port. President Dr Muizzu and his accompanying delegation were then guided to an observation point that provided a comprehensive bird’s eye view of the port’s operational landscape.

The tour also included a visit to the port’s control centre, where the delegation observed how digital technologies are integrated into day-to-day operations. The planning and execution of automated cargo movements were demonstrated.

Tuas Port is designed to set a new global standard in maritime logistics. With its focus on precision, agility, and the adoption of cutting-edge digital solutions.
