The deadline for submitting complaints regarding the allocation of 100 residential plots in Gaafu Dhaalu Hoandehdhoo closes at 1:00 p.m. today, according to an announcement by the Hoandehdhoo Island Council.

A total of 286 applicants submitted requests for the plots, with the provisional list of eligible candidates published on July 2.

Following the publication, the Council invited applicants to file complaints using designated forms, which can be submitted in person at the council office or via email. The final deadline to collect and submit these forms is 1:00 p.m. today.

The Council stated that allocation will be based on the points assigned in the provisional list. However, deductions may apply if applicants’ spouses or parents have previously received plots from other islands. Verification will be conducted by relevant Government authorities. Those affected by such criteria will be excluded from the final list.

As a result, individuals who initially did not qualify may still become eligible if higher-scoring applicants are disqualified. The Council added that any changes arising from further information received by the Council will be officially communicated to affected parties.
