The Government has announced that local businesses will have the opportunity to showcase their products at the upcoming World Halal Summit and Halal Expo, set to take place in Istanbul, Turkey later this year.

According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, the General Secretariat of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has confirmed that Maldivian businesses are eligible to participate in this year’s event. The Ministry noted that the expo presents a valuable opportunity for local firms to promote and market their products to an international audience.

The international event, which is held annually under the High Patronage of the President of Turkey, is scheduled to run from November 26 to 29. It serves as a prominent platform for stakeholders in the halal industry, attracting companies, investors and professionals from a wide range of sectors including halal food, tourism and beauty products.
