Three police officers are receiving treatment for smoke inhalation following a massive fire that broke out at a warehouse operated by Ensis last night.

The blaze prompted an immediate response from the Maldives Police Service and the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), who worked to bring the fire under control.

According to police, the officers affected by the smoke are in stable condition and showing signs of recovery.

Due to the significant air pollution caused by the fire, authorities urged the public to avoid the area unless necessary. Residents were also advised to keep windows and doors shut and to wear masks if venturing outside.

The cause of the fire has not yet been confirmed, and no additional injuries have been reported so far. Authorities say further updates will be provided as the investigation continues.
