The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has reported a profit of MVR 27.9 million for the second quarter of 2025, according to its latest financial report.

In the second quarter, MTCC recorded a revenue of MVR 490.3 million, reflecting a 17.7 per cent increase compared to the MVR 418.4 million posted in the first quarter of the year. 

Following the increase in revenue, MTCC recorded a pre-tax profit of MVR 72.7 million and an operational profit of MVR 49.7 million. The company also recorded an operational loss of MVR 1.3 million during this period. 

Post tax deduction, MTCC reported a net profit of MVR 27.9 million and a loss of MVR 19.6 million in the second quarter of the year. 

MTCC’s primary revenue came from its construction and dredging operations, which generated MVR 498.9 million during the quarter, underscoring the company’s continuing role in national infrastructure development.

In the same period, the company was actively engaged in 313 projects across the Maldives. Of these, nine projects were completed, while work commenced on 64 new projects.
