The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure has announced that 1,260 people have received land registrations in Gulhifalhu under the Binveriya Scheme.

The incumbent Government revised the land use plan drawn up by the previous administration, with registrations now being issued following a re-draw on 30 May. Distribution began on 12 July and is ongoing.

According to the Ministry, applicants must book appointments through the Hiyaavehi Portal to collect their registrations. Once an appointment is confirmed, recipients will be provided with all the necessary details for completing the handover process.

The Ministry also stated that it is consulting with the Attorney General’s Office to resolve legal conflicts linked to agreements signed under the previous administration for land allocation through the scheme.
