Malé City Group of Hospitals (MCGH) held discussions with the Ministry of Higher Education on ways to strengthen human resource development in the Maldivian health sector.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Higher Education Dr Ali Haidar Ahmed, MCGH CEO Ibrahim Abdul Razzaq Haleem, and other senior officials.

Discussions focused on the challenges faced in training and developing health professionals, as well as possible solutions. Particular emphasis was placed on expanding education and training opportunities for healthcare providers and enhancing the capacity of those currently working in the field.

MCGH is the country’s largest healthcare network, employing more than 3,500 staff. The group oversees Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), Hulhumalé Hospital and Villimalé Hospital.
