Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) has represented the Maldives at the Manta Forum 2025, a major tourism exhibition at the Moscow Marriott Imperial Plaza.

The event, organised by Resort Holidays on 15 September, brought together over 110 international participants including hotels, tour operators, travel agents and tourism boards to explore opportunities and strengthen global partnerships.

Visit Maldives Corporation’s Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Ibrahim Shiuree, headed the Maldives’ participation at the forum, where he engaged with stakeholders from the Russian and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) travel markets. He highlighted the Maldives’ standing as a leading destination for luxury and sustainable tourism. Officials stressed that Russia and the wider CIS region remain key source markets, and that involvement in international platforms such as this is vital to maintaining strong demand.

Through its presence at the forum, VMC highlighted its strategy of maintaining visibility for the destination, developing stronger B2B links, and showcasing the Maldives’ diverse offerings to key markets.

The Manta Forum also provided a platform for knowledge exchange and networking between leading global tourism players, reinforcing the Maldives’ position as a preferred destination in the competitive luxury travel segment.
