The Ministry of Social and Family Development has launched Shamil 2025, a campaign aimed at empowering senior citizens and persons with disabilities by providing a platform to showcase and sell their creative products and skills. The initiative was officially inaugurated by Minister Dr Aishath Shiham at the National Art Gallery, where the event is being held. According to the Ministry, Shamil 2025 highlights the creativity and craftsmanship of participants while promoting economic inclusion and social empowerment. The exhibition also features cultural performances and entertainment programmes designed to engage and celebrate the talents of senior citizens and individuals with disabilities.

The event will run from 13 to 16 November, with visiting hours set from 04:00 to 06:00 p.m and 08:00 to 10:00 p.m. today, and from 10:00 a.m. to 06:00 p.m. and 08:00 to 10:00 p.m. on the following days. The Ministry invited the public to visit the National Art Gallery during these times to support the participants, view their creations, and take part in the activities that embody the campaign’s theme of inclusion and empowerment.
