Maldivian signs partnership agreement with Air India to boost connectivity

National airline Maldivian has signed a partnership agreement with Air India to strengthen travel connectivity between the Maldives and India. The agreement aims to enhance passenger transport services on both regional and domestic routes, enabling tourists arriving on Air India flights to seamlessly connect to 16 destinations within the Maldives. The partnership will also help Maldivian attract more travellers from Delhi and Mumbai for its India-bound services.
According to Maldivian Managing Director, the agreement is a significant milestone in improving ease of travel, boosting tourism, trade, and transport between the two countries. Air India’s Chief Commercial Officer noted that the Maldives remains a top destination for Indian tourists and that the partnership will expand travel options for passengers.
