The yearly ceremony of Fiyavathi children's centre took place this evening at Farukolhufushi, Hulhumalé, with First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed as the guest of honour.

The event showcased various performances by the centre's children, followed by a gift distribution ceremony led by the First Lady, who later joined the youngsters for evening refreshments and conversation.

A highlight of the ceremony was the official handover of a new 'Games Room,' donated by the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) to enhance the centre's facilities.

Fiyavathi, which operates under the umbrella of Kudakudhinge Hiyaa, is a state-run establishment providing care for children under 13 years of age in Hulhumalé.
