In his post, the President said the technical training is being conducted under the National Service Programme, which aims to nurture citizens who are self-reliant, strong in faith, spiritually grounded, physically healthy and patriotic.
The President shared that 66 youths between the ages of 16 and 19, representing 35 islands across the country, are participating in the technical training programme.
A total of 344 participants graduated from the first batch of the National Service Initial Training Programme. The National Service Programme is a flagship initiative of the Government and forms part of efforts to empower youth through structured training, education and civic engagement.
