The Ministry of Tourism and Environment has held a consultation session with tourism industry stakeholders to review the findings of the Maldives Visitor Survey (MVS) 2025.

The session provided an opportunity to outline key outcomes of the survey while allowing industry representatives to share observations and suggestions based on the results. The ministry said the feedback gathered will be taken into account when finalising the survey report and shaping its use for policy and planning purposes within the tourism sector.

The Maldives Visitor Survey 2025 is an exit survey conducted to collect information on visitor demographics, experiences and perceptions of tourism services and products in the Maldives. Data collection for the survey began at Velana International Airport in December and was carried out until mid-month, according to the ministry.

The ministry has said the survey findings are intended to support policymaking and planning for the tourism sector, ensuring that future development aligns with visitor expectations and industry needs.
