The British High Commissioner to the Maldives, Nick Low, has met with officials from Ministry of Tourism and Environment to discuss the Maldives’ climate change priorities.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the country’s efforts to respond to loss and damage caused by climate change and the importance of international support in addressing these challenges. The Maldives’ plans to access climate finance from multilateral climate funds were also discussed.

The meeting highlighted the Maldives’ continued engagement with international partners to strengthen climate resilience and secure financial support for adaptation and mitigation efforts, in line with national climate priorities.
