Implementation of the Cool School project awarded to Fenaka Corporation has commenced, with air-conditioning installation work currently underway in schools across the Greater Malé Region.

The project is aimed at addressing long-standing challenges faced by students and teachers due to high classroom temperatures, particularly during school hours. It is being implemented by the Ministry of Education under the direction of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, with Fenaka responsible for executing the works nationwide.

Fenaka Corporation has confirmed that the project will provide air-conditioning systems to all schools across the Maldives. As part of the initial phase, installation work has begun in schools located within the Greater Malé Region.

According to Fenaka, indoor air-conditioning units have already been installed in approximately 75 per cent of schools in the Greater Malé Region.

The corporation stated that efforts are ongoing to complete the installation of air-conditioning systems in all schools in the Greater Malé Region before the start of the upcoming academic year.
