The Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Infrastructure has completed the plot draw for beneficiaries of Giraavaru Falhu under the Binveriyaa Scheme, following changes to the Land Use Plan.
The plot allocation, held at the Social Centre, began on Saturday morning and concluded after 14 hours at 2:00 a.m. The draw determined new lot numbers, with results sent to beneficiaries via SMS immediately after completion.
A total of 2,605 plots of 1,250 square feet, 1,213 plots of 1,650 square feet, 253 plots of 2,050 square feet, and one plot of 2,450 square feet were allocated. Information on the land registry and agreements with landowners is set to be shared later, and plots will be handed over once land reclamation work is completed.
The revised land use plan for Giraavaru Falhu now includes 4,072 plots, incorporating 610 plots that were previously missing. In addition, the Government has added an area of 113 hectares and commenced the land reclamation of Giraavaru Falhu.
