President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has congratulated People’s National Congress (PNC) candidate Suha Ibrahim following her victory in the Dhaalu Meedhoo Council President re-election.

In a post shared on his official X account, President Dr Muizzu extended his congratulations to Suha and expressed appreciation to the voters of Meedhoo. He further conveyed his gratitude to those who played a part in securing the win.

Provisional results announced by the Elections Commission show that Suha won the election with 529 votes, defeating Maldives Development Alliance (MDA) candidate Mohamed Shaahid, who received 449 votes.

With Suha's victory in the contest for the council presidency, the PNC has now secured all three seats on the Dhaalu Meedhoo Council.
