President Dr Mohamed Muizzu emphasised plans to strengthen the agricultural sector of K. Kaashidhoo during his meeting with the Kaashidhoo Island Council and Women's Development Committee (WDC) today. The meeting took place at the Secretariat of the Gaafaru Council in Malé Atoll.

During discussions, council members sought specific details about the Government's agricultural support initiatives for Kaashidhoo, highlighting the sector's importance to the island's economy.

Responding to these concerns, President Dr Muizzu outlined comprehensive plans for developing the agriculture sector. He detailed new measures to enhance farming support and discussed steps to improve coordination between Government departments to better serve agricultural needs.

While other development matters were raised, including harbour infrastructure and healthcare services, the agricultural sector remained a central focus of the President's response, reflecting its priority status in the Government's development agenda for Kaashidhoo.

The meeting also addressed the WDC's role in the upcoming term, with discussions on how the committee could contribute to agricultural development initiatives.
