The Elections Commission has announced that it will host a family evening in Hulhumalé on Friday as part of its preparations for the upcoming Local Council and Women’s Development Committee elections.

The event, titled “Vote ah Thayyaaru”, will take place at Ruh’hgandu 3 in Hulhumalé Phase II. It is scheduled to run from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The family-focused event will feature a range of activities for children, including games, face painting and stage performances. Prizes will also be awarded through various interactive activities.

In addition to entertainment, the event will provide information related to the elections. Voters will be able to re-register to change their polling station, apply to serve as election officials, and obtain information on opportunities available within election task forces.
