The Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resource’s Mas Race has officially kicked off on Tuesday evening, marking the occasion of World Fishermen’s Day.

The competition is open to Government institutions, State-owned enterprises, and private organisations. Participants will compete for a grand prize of MVR 25,000, with MVR 20,000 awarded to the runner-up and MVR 15,000 for third place.

The race is scheduled to conclude at 10:00 p.m. tonight.
