The Maldives Girl Guide Association is preparing to conduct its Annual Eid Project for 2026.

The initiative, led by the association’s Young Leaders, has been carried out annually since 2000 as part of efforts to promote community engagement and social responsibility.

As part of this year’s programme, members plan to visit the Special Needs Centre in Kaafu Guraidhoo on Eid day. The visit will include spending time with residents, taking part in recreational activities, and distributing Eid gifts.

The association stated that the project aims to create a meaningful and inclusive Eid experience by engaging with individuals at the centre and celebrating together.

The association also noted that, as in previous years, Chief Guide is expected to take part in the event.

Donations for the initiative have been opened to the public, with further details on how to contribute to be shared through the Maldives Girl Guide Association’s official social media platforms.
