The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has announced that tomorrow will be the final day of Ramadan this year, following a meeting of the moon sighting committee.

The committee, which convened to determine the start of Shawwal, confirmed that the crescent moon was not sighted anywhere in the Maldives this evening. As a result, Ramadan will complete its full 30 days.

Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated across the country on Friday, marking the beginning of the month of Shawwal.

Similarly, Saudi Arabia has also announced that the Shawwal crescent moon was not sighted, with Eid al-Fitr set to be observed there on Friday.
