President Dr Mohamed Muizzu took part in People’s National Congress (PNC) door-to-door campaign in the Central Henveiru constituency as part of activities ahead of the Local Council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) elections.
The President joined candidates of the ruling PNC party during the visit, accompanied by Malé City mayoral candidate Major (Rtd) Moosa Ali Jaleel and Malé area WDC presidential candidate Uza Ashiyath Alaika Adnan, along with other party representatives.
During the campaign, the President visited households in the constituency, met residents, and listened to concerns raised by members of the public. He also interacted with people in the area and shared the Administration’s priorities.
The visit forms part of ongoing nationwide campaign efforts by the PNC ahead of the 4 April polls, which will include the Local Council elections, Women’s Development Committee elections, and a referendum on holding presidential and parliamentary elections simultaneously.
PNC continues to conduct campaign activities nationwide ahead of the elections. So far, the party has secured several uncontested seats, including 28 council seats and 41 Women’s Development Committee seats, bringing the total to 69 seats won without a vote. Local council and Women’s Development Committee elections are scheduled to be held on 4 April.
