The Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has announced revised bus and ferry service timings in the Greater Malé Region for Eid al-Fitr. 

MTCC stated that the bus services in the region will commence at 8:00 a.m., while services to the airport will begin earlier. Buses from Hulhumalé (both phases) to Velana International Airport will operate from 5:30 a.m. to 6:35 p.m., while services from Malé to the airport will begin at 6:40 a.m.. Bus services in Vilimalé will be suspended during the morning hours and resume later in the day.

Ferry services will also be adjusted, with the last ferry between Malé and Vilimalé scheduled at 6:30 a.m. before Eid prayers, and services set to resume at 8:00 a.m. after prayers. Ferry services between Malé and Hulhumalé will commence at 2:00 p.m., while services between Malé and Thilafushi will begin after 8:30 a.m. on Eid day.

MTCC further stated that cargo ferry services to Hulhumeedhoo, Feydhoo and Fuvahmulah have been cancelled for the Eid holidays. Changes have also been made to ferry terminal operations, with adjustments affecting routes between Henveiru, Maafannu and Hulhumalé terminals.

The changes have been introduced to facilitate transport arrangements during the Eid holiday period, with services expected to return to normal schedules thereafter.
