Traffic arrangements at Velana International Airport have been revised, with new measures introduced at Terminal 2 to improve passenger movement and manage ground transport more efficiently.
Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) said the changes, which came into effect from 10:00 a.m. on 25 March, designate specific areas for passenger drop-offs and pick-ups directly in front of Terminal 2 as part of efforts to streamline vehicle flow and enhance accessibility.

Under the revised layout, the area between the arrivals section and the roundabout has been allocated for drop-offs, while a separate area between the departures section and the roundabout has been designated for pick-ups. The zones are marked to accommodate a limited number of taxis at a time to prevent congestion and ensure smoother circulation.
MACL has stationed staff in the area to manage traffic and assist passengers during the transition, with the changes forming part of ongoing efforts to improve the overall passenger experience at the airport.
