Qatar Airways will resume flight operations between Doha and Malé from April 8, restoring a key air link that had been temporarily suspended due to disruptions linked to regional tensions in the Middle East.
Under the revised schedule, the airline will operate up to five flights per week between Hamad International Airport and Velana International Airport until April 15, with a subsequent schedule to be announced thereafter, while noting that all operations remain subject to change depending on prevailing conditions.
The resumption is expected to ease recent capacity constraints and improve travel options for passengers, particularly those transiting through Doha from long-haul markets, with the airline also confirming network adjustments that include increased frequencies to more than 90 destinations across its global operations, strengthening connectivity from key source markets including the Middle East, Europe and the Americas.
Qatar Airways has also introduced flexible rebooking arrangements for passengers holding tickets for travel up to June 15, providing greater assurance amid ongoing uncertainties, while advising travellers to ensure they hold valid confirmed bookings as operations continue to stabilise and additional flights are arranged where possible.
