Maldivians can now travel to Azerbaijan visa-free under an agreement signed in 2025.

From Wednesday, Maldivians are permitted to stay in Azerbaijan without a visa for up to 90 days.

The agreement was signed in New York on the sidelines of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in September 2025.

While the visa exemption applies to short-term visits for tourism, travellers intending to stay for longer periods or for purposes including employment, education, or business are required to obtain the appropriate visa.
