Flynas will operate three weekly flights between King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and Velana International Airport following the resumption of its Maldives service.

The first flight after the resumption, Flynas flight XY245, arrived at Velana International Airport from Riyadh on Saturday. Passengers were welcomed with a traditional Bodu Beru performance and a ceremonial water salute to mark the occasion.

Special gifts were presented to passengers arriving on the inaugural flight, as well as those travelling on the first outbound Flynas service departing from Velana International Airport.

The return of Flynas services is expected to strengthen air connectivity between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia while supporting growing demand from the Saudi market. Saudi Arabia remains an important source market for Maldivian tourism, and the resumed service is expected to provide travellers with greater convenience and improved access between the Maldives and the Middle East.
