Premium tour operator LOTi, in collaboration with Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC), hosted a tourism promotion event in Moscow to showcase the Maldives as a luxury travel destination.
The event, held on 24 June, brought together tourism industry partners for a private dinner inspired by the Maldives. The programme featured a specially curated menu prepared by Assunta Madre restaurant's Executive Chef, Catello Sansone, accompanied by live music.
LOTi noted that the Maldives has grown into one of the world's leading luxury tourism destinations over the past five decades, attributing its development to the country's long-term tourism strategy and the efforts of the Ministry of Tourism and the hospitality industry.
The tour operator also reported strong demand for the Maldives during the 2025–2026 season. Bookings on its Lujo BlackJet business-liner more than tripled compared with the previous season, while overall occupancy reached 98 per cent with more than 6,400 seats sold. Demand peaked during the New Year holidays, when flights operated daily and recorded a load factor of 110 per cent.
LOTi added that bookings for the 2026–2027 winter season have already exceeded 20 per cent, reflecting continued interest in the Maldives among its customers.
