President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has enounced the Administration’s zero-tolerance approach to corruption, vowing that any misconduct within Government offices will be swiftly investigated and addressed.
Addressing reporters outside the President’s Office, President Dr Muizzu stated the measures his Government will take to ensure accountability, stressing that individuals found breaching regulations will face dismissal. This policy, he noted, extends across Ministries, state-owned enterprises, and public institutions, reflecting a comprehensive effort to uphold integrity at every level of governance.
The President called on relevant authorities to remain vigilant, highlighting the need for prompt action against any signs of wrongdoing. He stressed that preventing corruption requires continuous oversight and decisive intervention, particularly in sectors most vulnerable to malpractice.
President Dr Muizzu also drew attention to the shortcomings of previous administrations, suggesting that inconsistent enforcement of anti-corruption measures had eroded public trust. By contrast, he pledged that his Government would prioritise transparency and apply regulations uniformly to rebuild confidence in state institutions.
As part of this commitment, the President made it clear that no individual would be allowed to manipulate the law for personal gain, reinforcing his Administration’s dedication to ethical governance.
