The Maldives Association of Travel Agents and Tour Operators (MATATO) has officially scheduled its Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the 2024/25 term, which will take place on 8 January 2025.

During this meeting, the association will elect a new executive board that will serve a two-year term.

Elections will be conducted for 10 executive board positions, including one President, two Vice Presidents, one Secretary General, one Treasurer, and five Executive Board Members.

MATATO has stated that members interested in contesting for a board position must submit a nomination application separate from their AGM registration.

Members interested in attending the AGM must ensure they register by 5 January 2025 at 23:59hrs. To be eligible to vote or stand for election, members must have fully paid their 2024 membership fees by this deadline.

The MATATO secretariat will manage the registration process, and an election committee, chosen from the attendees, will oversee the voting.
