The State Trading Organisation (STO) has imported coconuts from India, pricing them at MVR 5 each—significantly lower than the current market rate—to ensure affordability during Ramadan. Alongside coconuts, lemons will also be available at STO People’s Choice store, as part of the company’s broader efforts to stabilise essential goods' prices. STO has structured its Ramadan imports into four categories and remains committed to monitoring market trends and implementing measures to maintain affordability.
