The State Trading Organisation (STO) has started selling lemons at reduced prices for Ramadan, offering them at MVR 40 per kilogram compared to market rates of MVR 75-85. The organisation is also selling other essentials at lower prices, including onions at MVR 15 per kilogram and coconuts at MVR 5 each. The Government has identified 54 items as critical for Ramadan and will take action against vendors selling these items at inflated prices.
