A 1.8 megawatt generator, acquired under an agreement with STELCO, has been delivered to Addu City to help address persistent electricity shortages, especially ahead of Ramadan. Fenaka Corporation is also working to repair three damaged generators at the Central Power Station, with one already operational and the remaining two undergoing repairs. As a long-term solution, the Government is expediting the construction of a 32 megawatt powerhouse to provide a permanent resolution to the city's power crisis.
