President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has officially designated Bodufinolhu as part of Laamu Atoll Gan, following requests from the Gan Island Council. The decision, made under the Decentralisation Act, transfers jurisdiction to the Gan Council, addressing concerns over environmental damage and paving the way for future development.
