The Road Development Corporation (RDC) has been awarded the contract to build a new 50-bed facility for Dhaalu Atoll Hospital, set for completion within 18 months. The hospital will offer specialised medical services, an emergency ER, and an isolation facility, while incorporating sustainable features such as a solar PV system and a medical oxygen plant. The Ministry of Health stated that the expansion will resolve space constraints and enhance healthcare access for Kudahuvadhoo and neighbouring islands.
