Hulhumale' Hospital upgraded to a tertiary care facility

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has officially inaugurated Hulhumalé Hospital as a tertiary-level healthcare facility.

The ceremony, held at the hospital this evening, unveiled several advanced medical services and facilities including a state-of-the-art Operation Theatre Complex, an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and a Centralised Sterilisation Department.

Following the inauguration, President Dr Muizzu toured the new facilities, viewed a video presentation on the enhanced services, and engaged with staff to understand the operations of the newly introduced departments.

At the event, Hulhumalé Hospital was officially registered and licensed as a tertiary care facility, signifying its capability to provide advanced medical services. This development reflects the Administration’s commitment to strengthening healthcare services and ensuring high-quality medical care is accessible to all citizens.
