MSC Magnifica arrives in the Maldives completing the longest voyage

MSC Magnifica, a cruise liner arrives in the Maldives completing the longest voyage from the Pacific Ocean to the Indian Ocean, carrying 2,800 Tourists. 

The vessel departed from Fremantle-Perth, Australia on March 27 and arrived in Male’, Maldives on April 3, carrying 2,818 individuals, including 1,866 passengers and 952 crew members. 

The Maldives Immigration has issued the en-route clearance to the vessel, marking it as the longest voyage ever cleared by the authority. 

Maldives remains a popular destination among cruise liners, welcoming several vessels each year. MSC Magnifica is the eighth cruise liner to arrive in the Maldives this year.

Cruise liners continue to play an important role in boosting Maldives Tourism. So far this year the country has recorded over 600,000 tourist arrivals. The Government has set a target of 2.3 million tourist arrivals for this year.
