The Government has initiated efforts to enable TikTok monetisation, aiming to support a thriving creative economy as pledged by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu. The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade held a productive meeting with a senior TikTok delegation to explore potential collaborations. The initiative is expected to expand earning opportunities for Maldivian content creators beyond the existing Creator Fund and Live streaming options.
