The Maldives Police Service in Baa Eydhafushi has launched a safety initiative that includes creating a database of children found outdoors without parental supervision after 10:00 p.m., aiming to identify and support at-risk youth. As part of broader crime prevention efforts, police have also begun installing CCTV cameras in the island’s port area, with equipment provided by the Eydhafushi Council.
