The Maldivian delegation has begun promoting the country at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025, one of the world’s leading tourism fairs, held in Dubai from April 29 to May 1.
The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC) reported that 235 delegates from 110 companies are participating in the Fair, with many setting up stalls showcasing the nation's culture and attractions. The event was launched with a group photo featuring Tourism Minister Thoriq Ibrahim, MMPRC officials, and industry professionals. Emirates Airline Chairman Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum also visited the Maldives pavilion on opening day.
This year marks a shift from the ITB Fair in Germany to ATM as the Maldives' main international tourism event, following consultations with industry stakeholders. Dubai’s accessibility helps avoid visa issues previously faced by participants.
With 160 countries represented and 41 international media outlets covering the event, ATM 2025 is expected to significantly boost the Maldives' global tourism profile.
