The Ministry of Dhivehi Language, Culture and Heritage has unveiled the official logo for the Maldives’ 60th Independence Day, which will be celebrated on 26 July.

The logo was chosen through a national design competition that concluded on 15 June 2025. The winning designer, Farhad Ibrahim, received a prize of MVR 30,000.

According to the Ministry, the selected logo highlights key national values, including Islam, the Dhivehi language, culture, sovereignty, and national identity. It also features the colours of the Maldivian flag, representing six decades of independence and the country’s hopes for the future.
