First Lady Sajidha Mohamed returned to the Maldives on Friday morning after attending the 11th Merck Foundation Africa Asia Luminary Annual Conference in Tanzania, where she participated as the Guest of Honour.

During the conference, the First Lady delivered a keynote address at the High-Level First Ladies Panel and also spoke at the Merck Foundation First Ladies Initiative (MFFLI) Committee Meeting.

The Merck Foundation Africa Asia Luminary is an annual event that gathers healthcare professionals, policymakers, and academics to address critical issues, including women’s empowerment, disease management, and the advancement of accessible, quality healthcare across Africa and Asia.
