President joins PNC door-to-door campaign in Vilimalé

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu joined the People’s National Congress (PNC) door-to-door campaign in Vilimalé on 10 March to support party candidates contesting the upcoming Local Council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) elections.
President Dr Muizzu was welcomed by a large number of residents upon arriving at the island and was accompanied by PNC Malé City mayoral candidate Major (Rtd) Moosa Ali Jaleel and the party’s candidate for President of Women’s Development Committee for Malé area, Ashiyath Alaika Adnan. Other candidates contesting council and WDC seats in the constituency also took part in the outreach activity, along with senior party officials.
During the visit, the President also visited several households in Vilimalé, speaking with residents and listening to their concerns regarding issues affecting the community. He additionally spent time interacting with people he met along the streets of the island.
The President has been actively participating in campaign activities for PNC candidates ahead of the upcoming local council and Women’s Development Committee elections. The President Dr Muizzu's constant engagement in the campaign reflects his commitment to strengthening the decentralised governance system.
