Parliament Committee to review nominees for MIRA Board

Parliament’s Public Accounts Committee is set to review the names of candidates nominated for four upcoming vacancies on the Board of the Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA).

The terms of four current board members will expire on 31 August 2025. A total of 14 candidates applied for the positions, with President Dr Mohamed Muizzu forwarding their names to Parliament in order of priority.

According to the list, Mohamed Imthinan Saudhulla is the top ranked candidate, followed by Ismail Hamdhoon, Aishath Shazra, Idh’ham Hussain, and the remaining applicants. The full list of candidates is as follows:

The MIRA Board consists of seven members in total, and the four selected nominees will join the remaining three members currently serving.
