President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has officially inaugurated the immigration office in Baa Eydhafushi. 

Immigration office in Eydhafushi was inaugurated during the President’s four-day visit to all the inhabited islands in Baa Atoll. 

During the ceremony, Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusaan handed over the first passport issued by the office to its recipient. 

The Government aims to expand passport and ID card issuance services nationwide by establishing immigration offices across various regions. So far, the service has been launched in 11 atolls. 

In addition to the ongoing nationwide expansion, the Government has also launched passport and ID card issuance services in Malaysia.
