Bank of Maldives ATM service has been officially inaugurated in Baa Hithaadhoo.

At a special ceremony held as part of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s ongoing tour of South Maalhosmadulu Atoll, the service was formally launched by the President, who performed a ceremonial withdrawal.

Cabinet ministers and senior officials from state-owned enterprises accompanying the President attended the event, along with the Chairperson of Bank of Maldives and members of the Hithaadhoo Island Council.

Enhancing access to banking services is a key priority for the current Administration.

To date, Bank of Maldives has established ATM services in 40 islands this year alone, with the aim of ensuring that all inhabited islands have access to the service by the end of the year.
