President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has announced that work on several key development projects in B. Hithaadhoo will begin this year. 

While speaking to residents of Hithadhoo, the President provided updates on the ongoing and planned projects for the island. 

President Dr Muizzu confirmed that practical work on fulfilling four key presidential pledges for the island will commence this year. These include a full-size football pitch, a volleyball court, a Fitness and Recreation Centre, and an outdoor gym.

Focusing on health and wellness, President Dr Muizzu stated that the agreement for building a new Health Centre has been signed. Upon completion, the Health Centre will have expanded space, improved facilities, and provide laboratory and dialysis services.

During the visit, agreements were signed in Hithaadhoo for the construction of a multipurpose hall for the island’s school and a land reclamation project. The President stated the school hall would be completed alongside other necessary facilities to fully support the institution.
